mast head idea 3
the london underground logo is recognised by millions of people all over the world. this relates to the london theme and the world underground springs to the mind when looking at it when underground is quite an urban word which could be used to describe such things like hell or drains, dirty places which is the stort of places which the gigs were portraied to be held. a very coincidental benifit is that the colours just happen to be red, white and blue which were also the colours mods would use.
this logo would work as it has lots of differnt meanings behind it and would be recognised by a large audience. the colours are also very patriotic which would give the impression that the magazine would be publisising british music.
this logo couldn't work as it wouldnt fit where the mast head is suppose to go unless it was in the middle of the front cover which would then be difficult to put main images on the front cover without it looking a mess. also people may think this is a train staion magazine or somthing similar.
mast head idea 2
the font is quite dirty and scruffy to represent the atmosphere of the era and the gigs. the orange behind his highlights the postive memories that it prduced as its a positive colour. the safety pins iconic to the punk era and in constrast with the black background reminds us of the theme colours of the time.
the mast head works as it give across the theme well. the font is quite intimidating putting across reverse psychology to bring the audience in instead of away.
the mast head deosnt work as i belive that it isnt professional enough to bring enough audience in. and at the moment a lot of advertising industries use this type of font.
mast head idea 1
this mast head uses patterns and colours which were fashionable in the punk era. \The altered lettering is the same font as the sexpistols logo which give the audience the idea what genre of music it is publisises and advertises.
this mast head works because it is simple but still puts the anarckstic message across. it also works because you can fit it across the top of the magzine without it looking out of place or take up much room blockingn out the main image of the front cover.
it might not work as its quite cliche and punk audiences may want something a bit new to restart the trend.
